This disease is characterized by loss of the insulin-producing cells of the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas, leading to a deficiency of insulin (Diabetes 1). (see also picture of insulin aside) In Diabetes 2, due to insulin resistance or reduced insulin sensitivity, combined with relatively reduced, and sometimes absolute, insulin secretion. This disease heavily affects the patient’s life, a steady control of nutrition, monitoring of sugar level and medication will change the usual routines. We want to help the patients to balance their life, provide training to patients or health professionals and provide valuable information from the latest in research and development. Besides, we want to provide all necessary products out of one hand !
